Hardinge Demonstrates Quick-Change FlexC(TM) Vulcanized Collet Systems

IMTS booth 8348. Hardinge FlexC(TM) Collet Systems are flexible, sealed collet heads that interchange in seconds. It is available for a variety of spindle mounts for all brands of CNC lathes. The FlexC line is manufactured in Elmira, New York. New this year is the FlexC 42mm size, which fits several spindle mounts. Also new are the FlexC Expanding Collet System and the FlexC Collet Block, both of which complement the existing products and offer you additional machining options with your FlexC System.
Pull-back thru-hole (model D), pull-back stationary stop (model A) and push to-close deadlength ® (model DL) styles are available for main and sub-spindle CNC lathe applications. Purchase one spindle mount and interchange collet heads from job to job. Hardinge FlexC collet heads are fully interchangeable with competitor's models. Hardinge guarantees accuracy within .0004" (.010mm) TIR for the collet system models D and A, and .0008" (.020mm) TIR for model DL.
The FlexC Collet Block adds to the already successful collet block line from Hardinge. The modular collet blocks are compact with a low profile for increased axis travel and for maximum layout of the workspace. A FlexC collet provides advantages over a jaw chuck, vise and other clamping methods.
The FlexC Expanding Collet System offers the ability to grip on the ID of a part, using the accuracy and features of the FlexC System. The Expanding Collet System is new and will be available from stock.
