Westerlo, NY, 12193 0159
USA

Press release date: June 30, 2009

(Westerlo, N.Y.) - The Hannay 5000 Series single wrap reel features a strong, heavy-duty design to accommodate the longer lengths of large hose used in aviation fueling. The narrow, single wrap design provides quick and easy rewinding, wrapping, and guiding of hose that is normally difficult to handle.

The 5000 Series reel features a chain and sprocket drive that can be powered by an electric, hydraulic, or compressed air motor. A gear-driven mechanism with pinion shaft brake can also be specified as an auxiliary crank rewind on power rewind reel models. This model is also available in stainless steel for jet fueling applications to avoid rust and contamination.

Hannay's 5000 Series is designed to handle 1-1/2" to 3" I.D. hose with threaded and/or victaulic risers and ball bearing swivel joints. Depending on the specific model, the 5000 Series operates at pressures ranging from 150 to 600 psi, and is able to accommodate product temperatures from -40° F to +225° F (-40° C to +107° C).

Hannay Reels is the leading manufacturer of durable hose and cable reels for both OEM and aftermarket applications, offering thousands of standard models along with a wide range of custom design capabilities.
