CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., - Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), a two-day hands-on class from ASTM International, gives an overview of the ASTM Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments: Baseline Property Condition Assessment Process (E2018), and explains why the standard was developed. The course also guides attendees on how to use the standard to conduct a baseline property condition assessment and how to prepare a Property Condition Report (PCR). Participants will learn procedures for conducting a walk-through survey; which keys areas should be included in a PCR; how to establish reasonable expectations for PCRs; how to identify a property's physical deficiencies; and how to read a PCR. The course is scheduled for the following dates and locations during 2012: May 15-15 in Orlando, Fla.; June 5-6 at ASTM International headquarters in West Conshohocken, Pa.; Oct. 2-3 in Dallas, Texas; and Nov. 13-14 in Phoenix, Ariz. The course is intended for commercial property purchasers, potential tenants, owners, existing or potential mortgagees, lenders, property managers, and those who conduct PCAs and prepare PCRs. The professionals teaching the course are contributors to the development of the PCA standard and members of ASTM International Committee E50 on Environmental Assessment, Risk Management and Corrective Action.
