BARABOO, WI (February 26, 2009) -- Hammond Power Solutions (HPS), the leading manufacturer of dry-type electrical transformers in North America, has launched an online resource center to educate viewers regarding transformer technologies. The 'HPS Academy' provides visitors with a better understanding of how to evaluate performance characteristics of transformers and improve the efficiency of systems. The HPS Academy is available at www.hpsacademy.com.

The online resource features interactive presentations focused on HPS products, electrical standards and regulations, transformer installation procedures, transformer theory, HPS engineering capabilities, HPS catalog user guide, HPS online systems and much more.

" We understand the increasing need for accessible and inexpensive product training solutions not only in the workplace, but also at the airport or at home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The HPS Academy provides users with quick and easy access to relevant transformer technology and product information that aids in the design and selection process," said Ken Hermann, marketing manager at HPS.
