Dallas, Texas, USA - Hitachi HTA, a world-leading manufacturer of the Sigma G5 high speed, flexible SMT modular mounter, will displaying Hitachi's programming suite, including the EG-100 Component Library creation system, Patented (DDH) Direct Drive High Speed Head, and latest version Sigma Feeders.These innovative production systems will be exhibited in Booth #426 at SMTAI, in Orlando,Florida, USA, October 16 and 17, 2012.
Available in both High Speed and Flexible High Speed configurations, the G5 can accommodate board sizes of 510 x 610mm up to 460mm x 820mm and offers a dual lane option for higher volume throughput of PCB-fs and panelized assemblies. Other leading features of the G5 include a two-head placement system that offers the most flexibility in a single high speed head; two quick-change feeder bases that accommodate tape and stick feeders or quick change tray unit with tape feeders; and the industry-fs first "Overdrive Control System" whereby both heads can pick from each other-fs component supply and place on the same board simultaneously and without restriction. Powerful software tools allied to the Sigma G5 hardware include innovative Production Support Systems and software tools including the EG-100 Offline library creation system, a table-top system that offers the same teaching capability that is built into the placement machines; the NT-100 Offline programming software; LISA line server through which all process and component placement data can be stored for easy access to all users as well as PCB and component traceability (opt); and Terminal module for performing and validating offline setups of feeders and additional feeder banks.
