GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) is offering its 2812EVM-II DSP evaluation board, which is an upgrade to its 2812EVM-I. This evaluation board is compatible with NE2000 Ethernet cards and provides an on-board VL-Bus as well as data, address and control access terminals. It is specially optimized to be an ideal device for motor driving and control systems based on the popular TI TMS320F2812 series DSPs.
This 150MHz evaluation board, model 2812EVM-II, features on-chip flash program memory, an extendable SRAM, 4k × 16 Boot ROM and 1k × 16 OTP ROM on-chip. It is equipped with eight LEDs offering convenient status indication and communicates with a computer via USB, RS-232 and 10M Ethernet interfaces for data exchange and provides CLK, CS2, CS2, CS6, RD, WR, CS1571, RS1581, EVA, EVB, IN1 to IN8, OUT1 to OUT8 signal testing points and debugging points. The evaluation board can be powered by an external power supply which protects itself from EMI from the computing unit or through a USB interface.
