Demand for the rugged hand held computer, with its integrated 5.17 megapixel color camera, barcode imager and wireless connectivity, has been very strong in industries where having "proof" translates into increased revenue and cost savings.

Solution providers to the Trucking and Transportation industry were among the first to recognize the need for simultaneously taking crystal clear color pictures and imaging barcodes. Capturing an image of a Bill of Lading (BOL) and its barcode in-cab and transmitting that information back to the home office in real-time can enhance billing cycles and increase cash flow. Having the ability to document Over, Short and Damage (OS&D) freight can significantly cut costs associated with frivolous claims.
A variety of innovative automotive applications have also been identified. For example, service departments in car dealerships have long struggled with discrepancies concerning damage claims.
