Grand Terrace, CA - Griswold(TM) Pump Company, a leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and an operating company within Dover Corporation's Pump Solutions Group (PSG(TM)), announced today that its E,F&G Series Centrifugal Pumps, thanks to an array of operational efficiencies, are ideal for use in HVAC cooling towers.
In fact, Griswold's E,F&G Series pumps are ideal for most water-pumping applications thanks to capacities up to 3,000 gpm (11,356 lpm), heads to 310 feet (95 meters) and a broad range of sizes and configuration options. E,F&G pumps are equipped with a choice of either a close-coupled NEMA electric motor or frame-mounted with couplings to electric motors, engines, steam turbines or belt-driven motors. The E,F&G's 360-degree mounting capabilities extend its installation options, while its closed-coupled configurations can also be mounted vertically when space is at a minimum. The back pull-out design permits removal of the entire pump assembly for easy maintenance without having to disturb the piping connections. All E,F&G models are flanged in accordance with ANSI B 16.1 for 125-psi applications.
Other HVAC cooling tower-friendly features include flanged cast-iron casings with standard ANSI flange-type suction and discharge nozzles; a renewable bronze shaft sleeve; mechanical shaft seals that are designed to eliminate maintenance and adjustment problems; renewable bronze wearing rings that are pressed into the casing and/or adapter for easy replacement in the field; and a single-piece enclosed impeller that is made of cast bronze, precision-balanced and keyed to the shaft, with a diameter cut for the specific condition point.
