GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN --- viastore systems, a leading automated material handling solutions provider, announced today that it has been selected by Grifols to design, together with Grifols Engineering, manufacture and install, an automated plasma sorting sample system in San Marcos, TX.
For Grifols, health and safety come first. In order to ensure that the plasma they're storing is safe, secure and the information about that plasma is 100% accurate, 100% of the time, an automated system was a good solution. Being in a -30°F freezer environment it was important for Grifols to find a partner that had experience with fully integrated material handling systems in low temperatures.
The viastore solution for Grifols includes a one aisle, double deep, mini-load system, 180 ft. of viastore manufactured Powered Roller Conveyor (PRC), a zone tracking control system and viad@t warehouse management and control software for traceability, and 5 operator stations for incoming case processing.
