Press release date: April 7, 2011

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Green Manufacturer(TM) magazine announces its pledge to add all of the FORTUNE 1000 manufacturing companies to its circulation.

Green Manufacturer is a bimonthly magazine delivered to 75,000 manufacturing professionals. It covers the process applications, products, and opportunities that manufacturers need to know about to run an effective green operation.

"We have made it a goal to reach 100% of the manufacturers on the FORTUNE 1000 list," said Edward Youdell, group publisher of FMA Communications Inc. "These are the organizations that are taking the lead in the movement toward sustainable manufacturing and have the greatest influence over the largest network of suppliers and industrial partners.

"Companies such as Caterpillar, John Deere, and GE have stated sustainable manufacturing initiatives that they are driving down their supply chain. We believe that their commitment to green manufacturing practices is a trend that is here to stay. Our mission is to be the information tool of choice for these manufacturers that want to be ahead of the curve on sustainable manufacturing practices."

The FORTUNE 1000 is a list of the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue, as maintained by FORTUNE® magazine.

FMA Communications Inc., the publishing affiliate of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association that manages and produces Green Manufacturer, serves the metal forming and fabricating industry with business-to-business magazines, e-newsletters, vendor directories, and Web sites.
