BARABOO, WI ... Teel Plastics proudly announces the grand opening of its 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters. The new facility is approximately two miles from the existing facility. Construction on the environmentally conscious building began in September of 2006 and was completed in 2007. The new building incorporates Teel Plastics' commitment to lean manufacturing and provides space for company-wide growth. The manufacturing area reaches new standards in terms of maximizing efficiency and the ability to service customer requirements. Teel Plastics currently operates four locations in Baraboo, WI.
The site is located at what is planned to be the gateway to Baraboo after completion of the new Highway 12 bypass. The 80 acres of land accommodates Teel Plastics' new building and the Gateway Business Park. The park's business lots that are currently for sale will help economic development in the Baraboo area.
Founded in 1951, Teel Plastics, and its subsidiary Teel GRT, currently operates four divisions including custom pultrusion/finishing, custom extrusion/finishing, custom bag making and the manufacture of products utilizing agrifiber and plastic composites. Teel Plastics is certified to ISO 9001 and maintains a workforce of over 275 fulltime employees in the Baraboo area.
