PASADENA, CA - December 2, 2010 - Hosted by The Aerospace Corporation, with support from The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the 2010 Workshop on Spacecraft Flight Software will take place from December 8-10, 2010 at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA.

GrammaTech, Inc., a leading manufacturer of source-code analysis tools, confirmed today that the company will sponsor the Space Flight Software Roundtable dinner moderated by Dr. Alan Unell of The Aerospace Corporation with industry experts Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, Dr. Joel Sherrill, Dr. Rob Petit, Dr. Myron Hecht and others.

What: Space Flight Software Roundtable Dinner When: Thursday, December 9, 5:30 PM Where: California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA Why: With the advent of faster processors and advanced hardware architectures, the modern spacecraft is highly reliant upon flight software for mission success. Software is integral to most of the spacecraft subsystems ranging from power to propulsion to instrument operations. Additionally, spacecraft developers are moving beyond providing only infrastructure to creating applications that can revolutionize how these vehicles are operated and how data is processed on-board. This roundtable will be an opportunity to discuss current flight architectures, novel approaches to mission solutions, and techniques for flight software development, integration, test and verification in an informal and open setting.
