Goodrich to Showcase Advanced Systems at Farnborough International Airshow

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) will showcase a full range of advanced systems for commercial aircraft, defense and space applications at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012, which takes place in Farnborough, UK on July 9-15.

The Goodrich pavilion (outside OE4, located between hall 1 and chalet rows A and B) will prominently feature a fully inflated life raft from its Winslow product range, used by leading corporate and business aircraft manufacturers, and custom-designed to fit in a variety of aircraft interior configurations. Completing the advanced safety and rescue systems display are rescue hoists and the Goodrich ACES 5(TM) ejection seat, which builds on the legacy ACES II® ejection seat's one-of-a-kind stability package, lower life cycle costs and proven safety record.

Goodrich is also displaying a C-130 boltless wheel and its Boeing 737 Next Generation DURACARB® carbon brake system. The DURACARB brake provides eight times longer brake life and six times longer wheel life than current steel wheel and brake systems. An example of a current-generation thrust reverser actuator will be shown as well as an advanced composite high lift transmission shaft from CTG.

The Goodrich display will feature an MDR-80 mission data recorder with an advanced TERPROM® digital terrain system, the only terrain awareness and warning system of its capability on the market. It successfully blends and interprets the inputs of a diverse array of sensors to provide pilots with full situational awareness, enabling them to fly far more safely and effectively. The real-time simulation will give visitors a chance to see the system in action as they pilot an aircraft across varied terrain.

Visitors will be able to experience the latest systems including Goodrich's SmartDisplay® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), an easy and affordable way to display GPS-based automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) information, required by the NextGen Air Transportation System.

The DB-110 reconnaissance intelligence exploitation system, one of Goodrich's modular and scalable workstations providing intelligence capture, processing, exploitation, reporting and dissemination will be on display. The Goodrich TASE 400 high performance, low size, weight and power, gyro-stabilized camera gimbal, will also be on display, ideal for surveillance, inspection, law enforcement, fire fighting and environmental monitoring.

For the business jet market, the Nexus seat from Goodrich's Interiors business, featuring 360-degree swivel, full-flat recline and sumptuous upholstery, will be highlighted with a refreshment center designed with the finest high-gloss, natural wood veneers in the world, resulting in an elegant hand-crafted cabinet that is as functional as it is art for the business jet.

Goodrich technical teams will be on hand throughout the show for expert demonstrations and to answer questions. Visitors to the pavilion will get a chance to interact with the array of innovative products on display, and even get a chance to view some of the latest products in action.
