Beverly, MA (July 2, 2009) - Goddard Technologies, Inc. (GTI), a leading product design and development firm for medical, consumer, industrial and military products, is proud to have supported the design and development of a patented self-power generating dog leash for Fido Fashions, Inc.
The GTI design team was responsible for managing the development of all aspects of the three sized leash assemblies. Activities included Industrial Design ideation, Mechanical Engineering and Design of all casings and mechanisms, injection molded plastics design and electronics development including power generation qualification and testing.
The team at GTI paid close attention to meeting the client's goals designing for the correct fabrication process dictated by budgeting and annual volume projections. Structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) review of all inner mechanisms was performed to ensure durability and functionality of key mechanism components.
