Global Trash Solutions has partnered with OEM contract manufacturer Detector Technology, Inc to create the world's most innovative commercial trash compactor: the GTS 2000.
Lake Park, FL - November 5, 2009: Global Trash Solutions was established in January 2008 with the GTS 1000 compactor/baler. Global Trash Solutions hit the street and spread the word to multiple fast food franchises, most notably McDonald's Corporation. "We realized right away that we had a great business concept on our hands. The way waste haulers charge is by volume of trash produced. We discovered that if we could reduce the size of the trash we could reduce the amount of pick-ups, and therefore reduce the price for our clients" said Spano.
After being a reseller and distributor of the GTS 1000 for a year, Global Trash Solutions decided to design and manufacture the GTS 2000. They took the project to Jay Ray of Massachusetts-based Detector Technologies, Inc., and with the help of their engineers added features that improved the overall quality and performance of the machine. The compactor now comes equipped with a control panel that requires a start code for operation. There is an emergency stop button. There is a patented polyethylene coating on the entire machine which prevents rust and corrosion, and makes it easy to clean.
