Larry G. Wash to present recommendations for reducing energy in existing buildings

Washington, D.C., May 11, 2010 - Existing buildings consume 40 percent of energy worldwide1. There are opportunities to make these buildings more energy efficient and in turn more cost effective. Plenty of proven technologies, services and strategies exist for making these buildings perform better throughout their life.

Larry G. Wash, president of global services for Ingersoll Rand's Climate Solutions sector which includes the Hussmann, Thermo King and Trane brands, will participate in a panel discussion at the Alliance to Save Energy's Energy Efficiency (EE) Global 2010 conference on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, on this topic.

During Wash's presentation, "Missed Opportunities: Energy Reduction in Existing Buildings," he will discuss the amount of energy wasted by inefficient building systems - and raise visibility for the fact that one of the simplest ways to reduce energy consumption is to make existing buildings more efficient. He will share proven energy conservation measures and other services for building owners and policy makers to understand.
