Keynote by Jon Robson Offers Insights Regarding Today's Financial Services Challenges and Strategies

WASHINGTON, July 22 / / - The Financial Information Services Division (FISD) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) today announced that Jon Robson, President of Enterprise for the Markets Division at Thomson Reuters, will provide the first of two keynotes at the 9th World Financial Information Conference (WFIC), October 4-7, 2009, in Athens, Greece.

Mr. Robson's responsibilities encompass Enterprise Information, Pricing and Reference Data, Digital Data Feeds, Information Management Solutions, Middleware Technology, and Trade and Risk Management Solutions for Thomson Reuters. He previously led the Reuters business in the United States, South America, and Canada, in his role as President, Reuters America.

Before joining Reuters Mr. Robson managed financial technology businesses for BIS Banking Systems (now Misys) in Europe and Asia, Telerate in Asia Pacific and became EVP for Dow Jones Markets based in New York. As former CEO and Founder of Moneyline he led the acquisition of global market data provider Telerate in 2001 to form MoneyLine Telerate, which was subsequently acquired by Reuters.

WFIC will offer two and a half days of presentations covering the threats and opportunities arising from the new regulatory, economic and market environment. Discussions will be centered on transparency challenges and requirements, risk management, operational efficiencies and the latest on the industry's technologies.
