An experienced company offering a wide range of roofing and ventilation products, Glidevale Ltd are known for their practical yet innovative solutions. Glidevale products are all designed to meet ISO 9001 quality standards. Among other things they produce tubular and modular roof-lights and loft access traps.

Recently, Glidevale has released their new Universal Interlocking Plain Tile Ventilator. Glidevale products carry the AA Fire Certification as standard. This means that the ventilator will not be penetrated by flames and flames cannot spread across the surface. This is very useful as for roofing, the Building Regulation Part B requires roofs, or parts of roofs, to be fire rated. The ventilator also limits condensation and can be used a low or a high level. In addition to this, the ventilator comes with an internal spigot which acts as a terminal for mechanical extract, or as a soil vent pipe (SVP). The Universal Interlocking Plain Tile Ventilator also performs well in a variety of weather conditions. Concealed baffles trap any rain or snow that is blown into the vents and channel the moisture back to the roof slope. The ventilator is attached to adjacent tiles using concealed clip fixings, this helps to prevent the possibility of wind uplift.

In the field of roofing, appearance also needs to be considered. With this in mind, Glidevale has made sure the Universal Interlocking Plain Tile Ventilator will look good when in position. A low profile and appropriate colour matching mean that once in place, a ventilator will be hard to discern from other tiles. Another factor that Glidevale has taken into account is that tiles weather in certain ways - the ventilator is designed to weather the same way so it does not begin to stand out in an undesirable way.
