SILICON VALLEY, Calif. - Gigamon®, the world leader in Traffic Visibility Networking solutions, today announced it has been selected as a VMware Elite Technology Alliance Partner (TAP). The TAP program enables technology vendors to more quickly and easily integrate their products with VMware virtualization software and deliver timely, joint solutions to customers around the world.

With the latest release of the VMware virtualization platform, owners of virtualized data centers are now able to gain pervasive visibility into their data using Gigamon's patented Visibility Fabric technology. Prior to this combination being available, traffic between virtual machines residing on the same physical server has only been visible via third-party 'add-ons', which adds complexity, creates instability and increases operational risk. Under its partnership with VMWare, Gigamon now offers IT leaders with the technology to see their data center traffic in a private cloud as part of their date center's core functionality.
