Dallastown, Pennsylvania - November 8, 2006 - Gichner Shelter Systems, a division of Gichner Systems Group LLC, and a world leader in the design, development and production of tactical and logistic shelters and shelter systems, is being awarded a $42,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for up to 1,000 mobile maintenance facilities for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of the United States Navy, for use in the testing and operation of various avionics systems. Work will be performed in Dallastown, Pa., and is expected to be completed in November 2011.

Gichner is the world's largest producer of this type of shelter. We have now produced more than 7,000 of these shelters for the US Navy alone. These shelters where designed and produced for the U.S. Navy's Mobile facility program, in several different shelter configurations allowing for a wide array of applications. A significant benefit of these shelters is their ability to be complexed. This can be accomplished several ways. The shelters can be connected at the personnel doors via special butting kits that provide an environmental seal between the shelters. Multiple side removable shelters can be joined into larger complexes providing large open interior spaces.

Gichner Shelter Systems can provide any of the standard Mobile Facility configurations, combine features to create a custom configuration, or make special modifications as required for a specific application.
