Kaivac, Inc.
401 S. Third St.
Hamilton, OH, 45011
USA

Press release date: July 22, 2009

The Wisconsin Secure Program Facility (WSPF) is the only institution in the state's department of corrections that has no inmate workers to assist in cleaning.

The facility has more than 205,590 square feet and ten custodians who are responsible for maintaining the entire institution, including nearly 2,000 inmate cells.

The high-quality cleanliness that they strive for is apparent at WSPF, according to a prison spokesperson. In order to maintain these high standards, WSPF uses a KaiVac machine, developed by Kaivac, Inc.

The KaiVac machine is a no-touch system that allows the custodial staff to effectively and quickly clean areas, minimizing the risk of contamination of staff and inmates.

The prison spokesperson also says that the KaiVac Machine allows staff to be in and out of areas more rapidly, decreasing the time inmates are out of cells and increasing the number of cells cleaned in a given amount of time.
