Continental Access, a division of Napco Security Group and leader in access control, provides seamless integration between CardAccess 3000's version 2.0 and higher software and Napco's Gemini alarm panels. By combining the power of Continental's CardAccess 3000 access control system and Napco's 32 to 255 zone Gemini GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 or GEM-X255 alarm panels, one can combine all of their alarm events into one, easy-to-use, CardAccess graphical user interface.
Continental's CardAccess 3000 Napco Integration solution keeps end-users regularly informed on the details relating to triggered events. With our communication solution, Napco alarms are directly routed by priority to CardAccess 3000's event/pending alert screen in real time for central station-like monitoring capability. Direct immediate alarm reporting on a centralized user interface for faster dispatch to pinpointed locations by internal or external security personnel. For added security, you can set events to trigger DVR recording upon any Napco alarm. Instantly watch video for any Napco panel event. If you cannot immediately address an event, our integration software will alert your pager or email you the whereabouts of the incident and track the alarm panel arm/disarm activity by user/cardholder.
Our seamless integration solution is flexible and provides end-users with many configuring options. Cardholders can be setup to arm or disarm the Napco panel or area at any CardAccess 3000 access reader. Moreover, any of our access control reader technologies available to CardAccess 3000 can be utilized to perform this function. You may also assign security staff to manually control an interface for arming or disarming with a click of the mouse. Another option is to assign the Napco integration utility to notify a user, at the reader, of the status of an area as to whether it's armed or disarmed. Once informed, the user can use their override capability to arm or disarm Napco panels.
For local connections or ease of setup between Napco's panels and Continental's CardAccess 3000 software, use our CAT5 cable with the GEM-RS232KIT which provides a direct-connection. For longer distance installations with multiple panels, Napco's NetLinkTM TCP/IP Module (NL-MOD) will do the job. Our NetLink option provides added flexibility since the panel(s) can be installed anywhere there is a network connection-in the next room or the next town.
