Connecticut, USA - Gerber Technology will participate in CISMA, China International Sewing Machinery & Accessories, the industry's largest show in China from September 26-29, 2007 in Shanghai, China. In its 625 square-metre booth, Gerber will showcase its complete line of automation CAD/CAM/PLM solutions, including conceptual design, plotting, spreading, cutting, Fashion Lifecycle Management(TM) (FLM) and service. "Get Fit For The Future", Gerber's theme for CISMA 2007, shows the company's commitment to helping its customers implement the automation systems they need to remain competitive in the future.

Overview of New Solutions

Gerber Technology, which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in the forthcoming Olympic year 2008, will introduce its newest products during CISMA:

o AccuScan(TM) automated high-speed pattern digitizing system: This new scanning technology digitizes multiple patterns simultaneously and outputs AccuMark pattern pieces. AccuScan is typically 20-50 percent faster than manual digitizing, depending on the complexity of the pieces being digitized.
o AccuNest(TM), the company's new software for automatically generating markers: the high performance automatic marking software utilizes state of the art algorithms to deliver the best fabric yields in the industry today. Users report that AccuNest makes markers faster and better than their manual marker makers. AccuNest is completely integrated with Gerber's AccuMark(TM) software, the world's leading pattern design, grading and marker making software.
o AccuMark(TM) V-Stitcher 4.1 version: a commercial and proven application for 3D design and visualization currently available on the market. The new V-Stitcher version 4.1 has new avatars, new 3D environments, anew neckline stretch test, and improved pressure map. These and other improvements, supply better presentation capabilities and better development tools will be demonstrated.
o GERBERspreader(TM) XLs125: XLs Series spreaders are developed and manufactured to yield an exceptional price to performance ratio. The XLs125 is the second product of the new series to fit virtually every spreading application. The easy-to-use XLs125 handles material rolls weighing up to 125 kg (276 lbs), spreading without tension and perfectly aligned edges. It is capable of spreading woven or knit materials in roll or flat form for a wide variety of applications. It provides accurate and consistent spread length and alignment of fabric edges which enables parts to be nested closer to the beginning, end, and edges of the spread, eliminates end loss and optimizes material utilization.
o GERBERcutter® XLc7000: The XLc7000 multi-ply GERBERcutter® offers unmatched price performance and exceptional reliability. With its low initial capital investment, low cost of ownership and superb accuracy and throughput, the XLc7000 is the best price-performance cutter in its class. The XLc7000 cuts up to 7.5cm of compressed material - accommodating a wide variety of fabric types and material widths up to 2.0 meters.
o FLM (Fashion Lifecycle Management): FLM extends Gerber's WebPDM's product data management capabilities into a robust, enterprise-wide tool to manage and improve the product development process on a global basis.

Sophisticated Products Shown Together to Supplement the Complete Automated Line

In addition to the featured introductions, Gerber will also demonstrate other products available in its complete GERBERsuite line of automation products:
o Vision Fashion Studio conceptual design software: Streamlines the creative process, reduces development times and ultimately decreases costs and increases profitability and productivity.
o AccuMark software: The world standard for pattern design, grading and marker making, AccuMark contains the most comprehensive set of pattern development tools in the industry, along with many other features to meet the fast-changing needs of today's apparel manufacturers.
o AccuMark MTM software: Gerber's AccuMark Made-to-Measure (MTM) meets the complex needs of the tailored clothing industry. It is the only software solution that provides true automation from pattern modification through advanced rule based specifications and order creation.
o CutWorks software: Offers a complete design, nesting and cutting solution for various industries, aircraft, automotive, apparel, furniture, composites, marine and industrial fabrics. It is the brain behind all GERBERcutters. With CutWorks you can import and export files using multiple formats, process data quickly, and optimize cut paths for more efficient throughput. It also delivers unparalleled matching of plaid and stripe fabrics.
o Digitizer: Quickly and efficiently input your existing templates into your CutWorks(TM) or AccuMark(TM) system using the Digitizer from Gerber. The Digitizer workstation consists of a digitizing table with menu, and a 16-button cursor. The system enables you to enter descriptive information about each template. All information is stored in the CAD system, where it is immediately ready for modification and nesting.
o SP-120 Plotter/Cutter: The SP-120 plotter is ideal for design centers and in-house design departments. SP-120 plotters are used to create, check or revise pattern pieces and nests, and plot component pieces and mini-markers.
o Infinity AE II wide-format high-performance inkjet plotter: marketed only in China, provides unparalleled reliability, versatility, and ease of operation. The Infinity AE II is simple to operate and quiet enough for use in every type of environment.
o GERBERspreader XLs50: The high-quality, high-performance automated XLs50 is specially designed for the apparel industry. It is capable of spreading woven or knit materials from either rolls or flat-folded packs. XLs50 provides accurate and consistent spread length and alignment of fabric edges which enables parts to be nested closer to the beginning, end, and edges of the spread, eliminating end loss and optimizing material utilization. It also features an ergonomic design for easy material loading and unloading and an easy-to-learn graphical user interface.
o GERBERcutter GTxL: GTxL is ideal for cutting small lot orders at low- and medium-ply heights. It is a low-ply conveyorized system capable of cutting up to 2.5 cm (1 in) of compressed fabric, using Gerber's state-of-the-art reciprocating knife technology.
