Gemalto Provides Swedish Citizens with Driving Licenses Incorporating World's First Clear Window Security Feature

Cartes tradeshow, Villepinte, France, November 14, 2007- Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, today announced that it has introduced the world's first clear window security feature on driving licenses for Swedish drivers. Under the contract, Gemalto provides the Swedish Road Administration with 600,000 driving licenses per year over the next three years - plus 2 optional years- including the latest innovation in security printing features: the Gemalto Sealys Clear Window is a transparent window in the pure polycarbonate structure for enhanced physical security that matches stringent expectations from criminal laboratory and national road authority of Sweden. The Swedish Road Administration will start delivering the new driving license to general public in December 2007.
