DEDHAM, MA - August 4, 2008 - KSG Innovations, LLC (KSG), a company that brings to market innovative intellectual property products, is introducing their product line of Technical Coatings: AG-1000 Anti-Graffiti & Industrial Release Coating, AR-1000 Anti-Corrosion Primer/Topcoat, TD-400 Temperature Wicking Coating, HeatShield X-45 Thermal Insulating Coating and the CH-202 Ceramic Insulating Coating.
KSG Technical Coatings are applied as paint, but have markedly different performance characteristics in the areas of thermal protection, anti-corrosion and surface resistance to graffiti and ice (technically known as a release coating). KSG thermal coatings change the volume and velocity of heat energy moving through materials like steel, aluminum, plastic, composites and concrete; providing thermal control and energy savings.
KSG coatings help move carpet through a carpet manufacturing mill 40 percent faster; protect the U.S. Coast Guard's seagoing computers from the tropical sun, help the railroad move steel more efficiently, and keep champion NASCAR drivers cooler. KSG Technical Coatings develops and manufactures specialty coatings that have special and unique thermal properties. Most of the coatings are `thermodiodic', meaning that heat flow can only move in one direction. This phenomenon can be very useful for any number of applications; from keeping a building cooler to improving the performance of production equipment and material flow through pipes.
Initial distribution of KSG Technical Coatings is planned for the United States and Canada.
KSG Technical Coatings - Product Details AG-1000 Anti-Graffiti & Industrial Release Coating is a multi-purpose, two-part clear coating that may be applied over virtually any surface. It is 100% hydrophobic (will not absorb water) and cures to a high-gloss finish so smooth that virtually nothing can adhere.
AR-1000 Anti-Corrosion Primer/Topcoat is a multi-purpose aluminum-impregnated urethane coating that is extremely corrosion resistant. As AR-1000 cures it kelates the surface of the metal removing the oxygen, then encapsulates it preventing any moisture from reaching the surface stopping rust in its tracks and preventing any further rusting.
TD-400 Temperature Wicking Coating has the unique ability to extract and dissipate heat from a substrate. Reduce up to 35% of the heat without additional sinks, radiators, plumbing or fans. Adheres to most metals and composites. Waterborne and non-caustic, environmentally safe and performs to 400 degrees F.
HeatShield X-45 Thermal Insulating Coating is a liquid applied coating which incorporates heat insulating properties based on proprietary mineral and polymer technology. This product is used on OSB (oriented strand board) and plywood roof materials, HVAC Equipment, boilers, heat exchangers, industrial tanks, cold boxes, rail cars, shipping containers and most other surfaces to reduce or eliminate heat loss or gain.
CH-202 Thermal Control Coating is a single component, water based acrylic enamel, designed to withstand exposure to harsh environments and extreme service demands. Hard, durable and easily cleaned, CH-202 thermodiodic (heat flow can only move in one direction) coating is ideal for industrial and OEM applications such as automotive, chemical tanks, process equipment, rail cars and similar applications.
