DETROIT, MI - GKS Global Services, a global provider of metrology services since 1981, recently celebrated 29 years in business by completing its 20,000th project. Averaged over the life of the company, GKS has performed nearly 700 projects per year on a sustained, ongoing basis, an amazing feat in the recent adverse business climate. "GKS has grown substantially in the last 7 years, going from 15 to 150 successful projects completed on average in a month," said Jim Andrews, Michigan Operations Manager. "With over 20 locations in the U.S. and worldwide, we've grown by leaps and bounds in the last several years."
The lucky customer whose job queued up at #20,000, a Tier One and Tier Two supplier of high quality aluminum die castings for the automotive industry from Kentucky, was pleasantly surprised when GKS management awarded them an unexpected discount to their next scanning order: $500 off the total cost. Named a General Motors "Supplier of the Year" in 2005 and a Ford Q1 Award recipient in 2006, this customer has been sending GKS its precision parts for over six years.
