GAF Sponsors Blog Cabin on the DIY Network

Viewers can vote online to determine the roof installed on-air

Wayne, NJ (01/2012) - GAF, the largest roofing manufacturer in North America, today announced its participation in DIY Network's 2012 Blog Cabin, a multimedia experience inviting viewers to contribute to the redesign and lavish renovation of a cabin that is then given away in a sweepstakes.

Now in its sixth year, the upcoming season will take place in Waldoboro, Maine and will renovate an existing 1905 farmhouse by allowing viewers to use the Internet to vote on design features at DIYNetwork.com/BlogCabin. The renovations will be featured on six special episodes of the hottest DIY Network shows: Kitchen Crashers, Bath Crashers, House Crashers, Yard Crashers, Mega Dens and Desperate Landscapes. Expert hosts from these series will be on hand to help renovate the farmhouse that will become a luxurious home for a lucky sweepstakes winner. Plus, a one-hour Blog Cabin special, hosted by DIY Network's expert host, Chris Grundy, will highlight the incredible transformation, including the selection and installation of the roof.

GAF has contributed offered several of its Lifetime Shingles for viewers to choose from when voting on the roof between January 3rd and January 16th, 2012. Choices offered are Camelot® II, Slateline®, and its new Timberline® American Harvest(TM) Shingles-each of which incorporates GAF's proprietary Advanced Protection® Technology, which results in shingles that offer improved performance while reducing the use of precious natural resources. As with all GAF Lifetime Shingles, they pass the industry's two toughest wind tests-ASTM D3161 Class F 110 mph and ASTM D7158 Class H 150 mph-and carry GAF's Lifetime limited warranty.

"We are so excited to be involved in such an interactive and entertaining platform," stated Alyssa Hall, marketing communications manager at GAF. "We've offered up three unique Shingle choices that are very different from each other and we can't wait to see what viewers select!"
