Hyperspec(TM) Imaging Products Recognized For Innovation
Fitchburg, MA; March 1, 2007 - Headwall Photonics, the world's leading supplier of high performance integrated spectrometer systems for spectral imaging and chemical sensing solutions, announced that the company's Hyperspec(TM) spectral imaging product line has been awarded the 2006 Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award.
Headwall Photonics has been at the forefront of introducing hyperspectral imaging technology for use in commercial, industrial, and life science applications. In support of this strategy, Headwall has introduced off-the-shelf integrated hyperspectral sensor solutions covering the VNIR (400-1000nm), NIR (900-1700nm), and SWIR (1000-2500nm) spectral regions.

Hyperspectral imaging technology is an established chemical sensing and imaging technology that allows for the spectroscopic analysis of any particular Members of the Headwall Engineering team proudly display the 2006 Product Innovation Award sample or point within a scene of interest. From its introduction during the mid-1980s as a means to conduct remote sensing experiments to its success as a military and defense sensor technology, hyperspectral imaging is poised for rapid adoption in commercial markets involving complex manufacturing of chemical materials and products.
