Freudenberg-NOK Simrit Launches Global Fluid Power Catalog at Third Annual Preferred Distributor Conference

Newly designed catalog offers customers simplified experience

PLYMOUTH, Mich.,  – Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies Simrit (Freudenberg-NOK) is making it easier for its best industry partners to serve their fluid power customers throughout the world.

Freudenberg-NOK will introduce its first consolidated Global Fluid Power Catalog at the company’s Preferred Distributor Conference in Las Vegas on March 3. The catalog will provide its preferred distributors with a comprehensive but simple-to-use resource that will help them locate fluid power components, share technical data and get them ordered quickly for customers. It is one part of the company’s overall strategy of investing in its preferred distributor network and will provide them with expanded resources and customer support.

“Our aim with the catalog is to reduce the complexity of the process for our distributors,” said Hamilton Marques, business development manager, Freudenberg-NOK. “We’re launching the catalog as a way for them to easily distinguish our market segments and identify the products they need to respond to their customers in a superior, streamlined manner.”

This year’s Freudenberg-NOK Preferred Distributor Conference, taking place in conjunction with the 2014 Fluid Power, Power Transmission, Motion Control Exposition (IFPE) and CONEXPO-CON/AGG international technical exposition and conference in Las Vegas from March 4 to 8, is the third annual conference the company has held since introducing its Preferred Distributor program in North America. Freudenberg-NOK introduced the distribution program in North America in 2012 in order to leverage its highly successful European distribution program.

Freudenberg-NOK’s technically advanced product portfolio offers high-quality sealing solutions that meet demanding industry standards of the fluid power industry and can be adapted to meet specific customer requirements. The extensive offering requires the company’s distributors to have the working knowledge of the products to most accurately recommend customer solutions.

To foster this knowledge, the company printed its first comprehensive Global Fluid Power Catalog which will allow distributors to quickly provide customers with sealing solutions that meet their ever-evolving needs.

The company’s new Global Fluid Power Catalog replaces one that was previously available only in Europe. It will be available in 11 languages and incorporate the entire range of products available from Freudenberg-NOK in Europe, North America and South America.

New features such as product icons were added to the catalog to simplify its use and make it more accessible to a global customer base. Additional global features such as metric and imperial unit product measurements and part numbers that are listed in both their North American and European formats ensure that the catalog can be universally accessed by preferred distributors around the world.

In fact, the catalog is a fundamental part of Freudenberg-NOK’s overall plan to support its key distributors by providing important resources that will help them build business and superior customer service no matter where they are located in the world, said Adam Ayres, director of North America Distribution for Freudenberg-NOK.

“Speed, simplicity and segmentation are the focus of our third Preferred Distributor Conference,” Ayres said. “In line with those themes, we will be using the conference to launch the catalog and communicate what we are doing to make Freudenberg-NOK an easier business partner to our key distributors.”
