Frank Joanlanne Joins Borton-Lawson as President


Growing firm welcomes seasoned leader to oversee implementation of strategic initiatives

We are pleased to announce Mr. Frank Joanlanne has joined Borton-Lawson as President, working in the architecture/engineering firm's Wilkes-Barre headquarters. Mr. Joanlanne has been Chairman of Borton-Lawson's Board of Directors for the past two years and an active Board member for three.

Mr. Joanlanne is a seasoned leader and manager, possessing over 24 years of experience leading operations, finance, sales & marketing, strategic planning, M&A, IT and HR teams. He has a proven track record of mentoring managers and supervisors, and is relentless in the pursuit of excellence in customer service and development. Mr. Joanlanne has led a number of small to mid-size companies through the critical stages of growth, with a management style built on team-building and collaboration.

Prior to joining Borton-Lawson, Mr. Joanlanne was SVP/GM for Frontier Communications, managing its Pennsylvania operations. Before joining Frontier, he was Senior Vice President of Penn Millers. He also served as President of Penn Software and Technology Services and as Senior Vice President of Eastern Insurance Group.

Mr. Joanlanne spent the first 12 years of his career on Wall Street managing international bond sales and trading operations for a number of banks including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Deutsche Bank and Credit Agricole. Throughout his career, Mr. Joanlanne has also been employed by Amroc Investments and TalkPoint Communications.

He is a graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business where he graduated with degrees in economics, international business and foreign languages.

Mr. Joanlanne has established a strong business network based on his many community leadership roles: Chairman of the Board, Borton-Lawson; Vice Chairman of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce; Vice Chairman of The Institute on Public Policy and Economic Development; Director of The Scranton Chamber of Commerce; Director and 2012 Campaign Chair of the United Way of Wyoming Valley; past Director of Northeast Pennsylvania Technology Institute; past Governor of the Westmoreland Club; past Director of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA; past member of the Business Plan Committee of the Greater Valley Technology Alliance and past member of the American Heart Association Executive Committee.
