Westbrook, Maine - BiODE, Inc. and Foster Miller Inc. have entered into a major partnership agreement in which both companies will share and coordinate technology expertise and will engage in global manufacturing and delivery of the next generation of oil condition monitoring sensors which incorporate the BiODE ViSmart viscosity sensor technology and Foster Miller's IR base oil quality technology.
As part of the partnership, both BiODE and Foster Miller will share funding, expertise and sales relationships, while focusing on bringing next generation oil condition monitoring sensors to the market, the sensors are plug-n-play and embed with additional functionality.

The agreement will enable BiODE and Foster Miller to offer custom oil condition monitoring sensors to OEMs that are designed to provide instantaneous, continuous, real-time, in-process measurements in a reliable cost-effective package for embedded applications.
The BiODE ViSmart(TM), designed for challenging embedded applications, at a size of 1.3in x 1.1in x 0.4in, and sealed for complete immersion is unaffected by vibration or flow conditions and does not need field calibration. The ViSmart(TM) integrates to the eCup(TM) handheld reader or the ViscNet(TM) control hub to provide a continuous audit trail for process monitoring markets.
