Fortna Adds Canadian Supply Chain Veteran to Management Team


Nashville (January 4, 2008) - Fortna Inc. today announced the expansion of their management team with the appointment of Richard Kingdon as Vice President, Supply Chain Consulting. Richard brings over twenty years of global logistics, supply chain and transportation experience to the position and will support the company's expanded service offerings that benefit clients with improved customer service levels and decreased operating costs.

In his role at Fortna, Richard will support the continued growth and leadership of the Supply Chain Consulting Practice with a focus on quality assurance, key client delivery management, sales support and practice development and management support. Based in Toronto, Richard will focus on growing Fortna's Canadian business and will serve as the lead for Fortna Canada Inc.

Richard's experience is drawn from years of network analysis projects ranging from large multi-DC networks to high-volume single DC operations as well as years of experience with distribution center and transportation analysis and design. He has also led supply chain execution systems selection and implementation projects for a wide variety of distributors, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers in the grocery, food-service, pharmaceutical, medical-surgical, apparel, sporting goods and general merchandise industries. Past client experience includes work with McKesson Corp. (NYSE: MCK), Hudson's Bay Company, Foot Locker (NYSE: FL), The Forzani Group, Frito-Lay, Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT), Shering-Plough Corp. (NYSE: SGP), Polo Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) and Ahold.

As the founder of In Stride Solutions, Richard successfully built and led a focused supply chain consulting practice for the past five years. Before establishing In Stride Solutions, Richard co-led Arthur Andersen's Canadian supply chain practice helping grow it by 50%. Prior to that position, he was Director of Logistics at McKesson Canada. In addition, Richard gained significant experience in the roles of Senior Consultant, Project Director and Partner at KOM International.

Richard holds a Bachelor in Environmental Studies (BES) in Geography and Transportation from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
