Detroit, USA. 6 October, 2006. - ICEM Ltd., the leader in surface modeling, surface model validation and design visualisation software, is launching a Ford Supplier Program for its new-generation product, ICEM Shape Design.

This program follows the successful launch of ICEM Shape Design (ISD) in 2005, and also follows a significant acquisition of ISD licenses by Ford Motor Company in June 2006 (see Ford press release). Following 15 months of evaluation through pilot programmes, Ford will deploy ISD for all future car launches. The ISD software together with ICEM services and training, will be deployed on a global basis as an integral part of its C3P-NG digital product development environment.

Ford Supplier Seminars ICEM will be hosting a series of supplier seminars at its local offices to introduce the program to qualifying Ford suppliers in October, November and December. More details on the seminars will be posted at icem.com on the events page. Alternatively any interested supplier should contact their local regional ICEM office in Detroit, Hanover or the UK to discuss the program further.

About ICEM Shape Design ICEM Shape Design has been developed by ICEM on Dassault Systèmes' CAA V5 product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions architecture to provide seamless integration with CATIA V5 and other CAA V5-based products.

The advanced surface modelling facilities of ICEM Shape Design deliver solutions ranging from general surface modelling to the specialised surface design and engineering requirements of specific industry sectors, such as automotive body and interior components, aircraft exterior skins, business jet and luxury yacht interiors, consumer durable goods and complex tyre designs.

ICEM Shape Design is available either as a collaborative installation, where access is granted to all CATIA V5 products that are licensed on a network, or as 'standalone' solutions, where no installed CATIA V5 software is required.
