Saunderstown, RI, January 2007 - A new brochure from DeWAL Industries details how high performance polymer films improve flexible hose designs.
DeWAL is a major manufacturer of UHMW-PE and PTFE films for industrial, chemical and fuel hoses used in normal and extreme conditions. This brochure focuses on information useful to engineers in flexible hose design and development.
It offers examples of applications in which polymer films improve hose construction. It identifies different polymers used for enhanced performance levels of inner liners, permeation barriers and abrasion-resistant outer wraps. Besides a wide selection of UHMW and PTFE, various polymers discussed in the DeWAL brochure include FEP, THV and specialty DeWAL laminates of dissimilar materials.
