Flando and Grealis Named PMA Vice Presidents
Press release date: February 28, 2014
CLEVELAND, OH—The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Allison R. Grealis and Andrew F. Flando to PMA vice presidents, effective immediately.
Flando, formerly group publisher and director of exhibitions, has been named vice president, publishing and exhibitions, with responsibility for leading PMA’s publishing and tradeshow activities. “In the nearly four years since Andy joined PMA’s team, he has provided strong and innovative leadership for PMA’s publishing and tradeshow activity,” said William E. Gaskin, PMA president. “Andy and his strong team of professionals will continue to innovate and grow these PMA products and brands, increasing their importance to metalforming executives and the industry.”
PMA’s flagship publication, MetalForming magazine, and Fabricating Product News, their related websites and industry events are well known and highly respected throughout the North American metalforming industry. FABTECH is the largest metalforming, fabricating, welding and finishing exhibition in North America and has related exhibitions in Canada and Mexico. PMA’s METALFORM Mexico tradeshow is co-located with AWS Weldmex and FABTECH Mexico, which together comprise the largest annual metalforming, fabricating and welding exhibition in Mexico.
Grealis, formerly director of membership services, has been named vice president, membership and association services, with responsibility for leading PMA’s membership acquisition and retention efforts, along with development and delivery of broad-based membership services available to member companies, some of which also are available to the entire metalforming industry. Grealis also leads PMA’s affinity partnerships, local district organizations, technology divisions, business analysis/benchmarking reports, CEO networking groups, senior manager roundtables, technical seminars and signature events. She also is executive director of Women in Manufacturing™, powered by PMA, a more than 400-member-strong national organization dedicated to the attraction, retention and advancement of women who are pursuing or have chosen a career in the manufacturing industry.
“Since joining PMA in 2001, Allison has held a variety of positions including district, committee and division management; affinity partner relations; sponsorship sales; new product and service development; and member services,” said Gaskin. “She has a deep understanding of the core values that drive PMA in serving its member companies and in representing the metalforming industry. Allison is dedicated to the growth of PMA and Women in Manufacturing™, and she works with a talented team aligned with both organizations’ goals and objectives.”
PMA is the full-service trade association representing the $113-billion metalforming industry of North America—the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating, spinning, slide forming and roll forming technologies, and other value-added processes. Its nearly 900 member companies also include suppliers of equipment, materials and services to the industry.
FABTECH is North America’s largest metalforming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. It is cosponsored by PMA, the American Welding Society (AWS), the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) and SME.
