Fiserv Bolsters CheckFree Investment Services Software Team with Key Appointment


Industry veteran Jay Pila brings global experience to new role as SVP and General Manager

Brookfield, Wis., February 22, 2008 - CheckFree, now part of Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ:FISV), a leading provider of information technology services to the financial industry, today announced that Jay Pila has joined the company as senior vice president and general manager of CheckFree Investment Services Software. In his new role, Pila will lead the teams responsible for CheckFree Investment Services Software products and solutions, including GIM®, CALIPER®, TradeFlow(TM), eVent(TM) and Advantage Fee.

Pila came to CheckFree Investment Services from SS&C Technologies where he was responsible for managing the TradeThru division, which delivers treasury and capital markets solutions to global financial institutions across North America, Europe, and Asia. As general manager of the TradeThru division, Pila had responsibility for revenue, P/L, administration, product management, product development, customer service, and daily operations.

Pila joined SS&C through their acquisition of OMR Systems, a business unit of ADP's brokerage services group.

Prior to OMR, he held the position of assistant vice president with Chemical Bank (now part of JP Morgan Chase), responsible for Global FX Margin Trading Systems. Before that, he was with Toyo Trust and Banking, of New York City.
