Wilkes to seek new opportunities worldwide
Stirling, N.J. (March 25, 2011) - Optical fiber manufacturer and custom assembly specialist Fiberguide Industries has named Steve Wilkes as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
In his new role, Wilkes has been tasked with identifying new markets and applications for Fiberguide's coated optical fibers, bundles, assemblies and arrays. He will drive sales growth by developing customer relationships in key markets, as well as manage the company's global sales and marketing team. Wilkes will also oversee Fiberguide's Application Engineering Group, in order to position the company's technical experts one step closer to customers.
Wilkes brings over a decade of optics experience to Fiberguide. He joins the company from Delphi Connection Systems (Irvine, Calif.), where he was Business Unit Manager of Electrical and Fiber Optic Connections. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of QPC Fiber Optic (San Clemente, Calif.). Wilkes holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University (Malibu, Calif.) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Blacksburg, Va.).
