Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) is offering its innovative fiber optic OTDR that is designed for the installation and maintenance of single or multi-mode fibers in MAN, WAN, CATV and LAN networks. This fiber optic OTDR has average and real-time test modes and has a unique hot key design that makes it convenient and quick to conduct, review and analyze test results. The fiber optic OTDR can save up to 300 test results which may be transferred to a computer for further analysis, reporting and printing through its included software.
This fiber optic OTDR, model 20/30, is small in size and light in weight and is an ideal and cost-effective tool for FTTx. It also features highly accurate measurement and a large memory capacity and dynamic range. The rugged OTDR tests the length of the optical fiber, distance, loss, attenuation coefficient between two points, insertion loss of the optical connector, return loss of the fiber and also gives the distribution curve to describe fiber loss. It is resistant to dust, moisture and shock that enables it to perform well even in harsh industrial environments. Moreover, the OTDR is complete with adaptors for connection to different fiber types.
