Federal Teams Leave Convera FAST to Join Autonomy


Federal Sales Team and RetrievalWare Product Experts Leave to Join Industry Leader

SAN FRANCISCO, California, April 23/ -- Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced it has hired the Federal sales team from Convera FAST. The team members, who hold federal clearances to service and sell to the U.S. government community, will be based in Autonomy's Falls Church, Virginia offices.

Key leaders joining Autonomy include the Vice President of Sales and Operations, Vice President of Product Engineering and the Security Program Manager. On 2 April 2007 Convera Corporation announced an agreement to sell its RetrievalWare enterprise software business to Fast Search & Transfer ASA (OSEAX: FAST.OL), for a cash sale price and Convera signing a deal to deploy Fast software as part of the acquisition, according to Forbes.
