February ANSI Caucus to Feature EPA Guest Speaker



The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced that the next monthly ANSI Caucus Luncheon will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009. The meeting will feature guest speaker Clive Davies of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Since 2003, Mr. Davies has served as the chief of the Design for the Environment program (DfE) at the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics for the EPA. This program partners with a diverse group of stakeholders to prevent pollution through chemical risk reduction and improvements in energy efficiency, reducing related risks to people and the environment.

Mr. Davies' career at the EPA has spanned 19 years. Throughout his tenure at the Agency, he has worked in water and air programs and conducted the first national survey of drinking water infrastructure needs.

With a strong expertise in safer alternative chemicals, safer products, water regulation, infrastructure, and engineering, Mr. Davies brings a rich background to the February Caucus discussion.

The February Caucus is sponsored by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), an ANSI member and audited designator.

The Caucus will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Press Club (529 14th Street, NW, 13th Floor, Zenger Room). RSVPs are requested by Friday, January 30, 2009.
