Joining Technologies (East Granby, Connecticut) announced they were a featured segment on 21st Century Business Saturday, June 27th at 6:30am EST on CNBC. To view the segment go to www.joiningtech.com.

The segment looked at how Joining Technologies is using laser additive technology, known also as laser cladding, to refurbish high value components for the aerospace and power generation industries. Other industries will benefit as well. "Our experience in high precision welding and in-depth knowledge of materials, process control and robotics give us a clear advantage, "stated Dave Hudson, president, Joining Technologies. "We are adapting this knowledge and focusing our resources to revolutionize the way that parts are repaired" adds Hudson.

Joining Technologies specializes in high energy beam welding, offering laser and electron beam welding and laser cladding. The Joining Tech Resurfacing Center (JTRC) offers the cost effective cladding and hard-facing processes known as Laser Applied Powder (LAP(TM)) and Wire (LAW®). Clad material is combined with laser energy and robotic motion to repair worn surfaces and to enhance hardness and corrosion resistance on valves, shafts, seals and other components in the Power-Generation, Aerospace, Nuclear and Defense industries.
