SAN RAMON, Calif., March 26 - Faronics has reaffirmed its role as an international leader by announcing that its intelligent energy management software, Faronics Power Save, is now available in five global languages: English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Faronics Power Save is a revolutionary tool that provides central management of workstation energy consumption throughout an enterprise.
Power Save goes above and beyond the basic power saving features provided by the operating system, and matches computer energy consumption with the activity level of the user. Power Save gives administrators a number of options to customize an installation package to suit the needs of their specific environment, including the frequency of the action, what day(s) of the week the action will occur, as well as the time of day. In addition to the ability to deploy Power Save to single or multiple computers with ease, administrators can also configure sleep or shutdowns to take place based on CPU, disk, and application activity. Power Save also has the capability of generating detailed reports outlining enterprise-wide energy consumption levels and associated costs savings, allowing administrators to see the immediate financial and environmental returns on their investment.
