Called the IntelliDent(TM) Toothbrush Shield, this breathable, quick-drying shield covers the head of your toothbrush to block microbes and wick away moisture from brush bristles. This creates a cleaner, healthier environment for your toothbrush and your mouth. The IntelliDent(TM) Toothbrush Shield is proven to be 99% effective against airborne and surface bacteria, significantly reducing the risk of pathogen-related illness.
Working with E4 Technologies, Inc., Fabrico assembled a complete, cost-effective cold seal packaging solution for the IntelliDent application. For this package, two separate pieces of cold seal material are printed, then using Fabrico's rotary press, squeezed together to form a seal and die-cut to meet packaging specifications. Cold seals are a special type of pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) that bonds only to itself at room temperature using very slight pressure.
Fabrico also leveraged their ultrasonic welding capabilities for IntelliDent's construction, creating an antimicrobial toothbrush shield. Both cold seal and ultrasonic welding technologies are well-suited for healthcare and pharmaceutical applications.
