Fibre, cabling, connectors, splicing tools, test and measurement devices, and transceivers all on display at Europe's premier optical communications show

4th September, 2007, Fujikura Europe has signalled its intentions to capitalise on Europe's exploding Fibre to the Home (FTTH) market with its growing portfolio of products aimed at carriers deploying FTTH services. The products will be on display at ECOC 2007, taking place at Europe's biggest conference centre, the Internationales Congress Centrum Berlin, 17th - 19th September 2007. Visitors to the Fujikura stand (#12015) will see the company's range of innovative products, including: the SR7.5 bend-resistant fibre with 'MageTsuyo' resilient in-home cabling; the expanded FAST field assembly space-saving connectors; and the Universal Mechanical Splicer (UMS) for field engineers. Also on show will be the company's range of leading fusion splicers for telecom and industrial applications and silica based coherent image fibres for medical and industrial endoscopy.

"There is a real boom in operators across Europe using fibre to deliver high-bandwidth services into users' homes, and Fujikura is advancing its portfolio of FTTH products to target this area," said Roy Higgins, General Manager at Fujikura Europe. "Our broad FTTH portfolio consistently focuses on delivering high quality, easy to use and efficient products that help operators to drive down the cost-per-subscriber of installations."

Fujikura's complete portfolio of FTTH products will be on display at the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC) 2007, taking place 17-19 September at the Internationales Congress Centrum, Berlin.

Demonstrations will take place on the company's stand (#12015), and Fujikura products will be on show at the Opternus stand, (#12018), at the Light Brigade display, and the CTTS fusion splicing training area.
