FSR New Ceiling Boxes Provide Solutions from Above
Units to Debut at InfoComm 2010
Woodland Park, NJ -- FSR, manufacturer of audio and video switching, control products, and connectivity boxes, will introduce ceiling boxes designed to conceal equipment above the tiles and blend with existing décor. The only ceiling boxes in the industry with both agency and plenum ratings, the units are available in two sizes and six varieties with numerous options to accommodate a variety of audio/video applications including classrooms, conference and meeting rooms. A white rim style door that is inserted into any ceiling tile is included on all boxes as standard.
New at InfoComm CB-12 - Ceiling Enclosure
Designed for classrooms, FSR's CB-12 provides an external AC receptacle facing the room in a 2'x1' enclosure fitted into the ceiling surface. The box features four (two duplex) additional un-switched AC receptacles inside the enclosure, two shelves to mount two half-rack control or AV equipment, and knockouts to allow wiring. A fan kit and a variety of mounting kits are available as options.
CB-12P -- Ceiling Enclosure with Projector Pole Mount
The CB-12 is also available as a CB-12P model that includes the addition of an industry standard 1½" NPT fitting to hang a projector weighing up to 25 lbs. This female pipefitting can be installed in multiple positions to optimize projector placement.
New at InfoComm CB-22 - Ceiling Enclosure
Ideal for classrooms, conference, meeting rooms, or any area furnished with a projector and control equipment, the CB-22 enclosure measures 2'x2' to provide ample room for two full rack pieces of equipment, or four half-rack pieces on the built-in shelf. The unit includes an external AC receptacle and a switch/circuit breaker on the ceiling surface, and five AC outlets ergonomically placed to allow room for wall warts inside the enclosure. As with the CB-12, a fan kit and a variety of mounting kits are available as options.

New at InfoComm CB-22S - Smart Ceiling Enclosure
FSR's CB-22S "Smart Green Enclosure" features an energy-saving built-in auto-sensor that discerns the power state of the projector and shuts down the remaining receptacles when the projector is turned off, thereby eliminating parasitic power consumption. The unit includes two monitored un-switched outlets, one on the ceiling's surface for projector power. A main switch/circuit breaker and four switched AC outlets ergonomically spaced to allow space for wall warts. An integral fan is included. As options, the receptacles can also be triggered by a low voltage contact closure and switching power to all six outlets can be accommodated.

The CB-MNT1 mounting kit attaches to the four integral mounting tabs attached to the ceiling box exterior. The kit includes four 100" stainless steel cables and four Kwikloc cable adjusters.
The SB-SK1 Seismic cable kit includes one cable, one Kwikloc cable adjuster and a door safety cable. This cable is installed through the ceiling box and is attached to the cable door as a failsafe in the event of a mounting failure.
The CB-THRD mounting kit accepts ¼" and 3/8" threaded rod and includes four hanger brackets that mount to the ceiling box with included ¼-20 hardware.
