Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Elects New Members, Officers



Koschwanez Elected Board Chairman

ROCKFORD, Ill., Oct. 29 - Jeffrey Knauf, president of Medalist Laserfab, Inc., of Oshkosh, Wis.; Dave Barber, an industry consultant from Inman, S.C.; Carlos Mendizabal-Perez, vice president of Industrias Selbor SA DE CV of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; Paul Russo, vice president of George A. Mitchell Company in Youngstown, Ohio; and Ed Severson, senior metallurgist/process engineer of Wilson Tool International in White Bear Lake, Minn. were elected to the board of directors of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International, (FMA) at the group's recent annual meeting. All will serve three-year terms on the 15-member board.

Current board members John Koschwanez, vice president of Chicago-based Independence Tube Corporation's Marseilles Division, and Tom Nederpel, a consultant with VGAN, Inc of Ancaster, Ontario, were elected chairman and vice chairman, respectively. Both served their first terms on the board in 2005.

Based in Rockford, Ill., the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA), is a professional organization with more than 2,300 members working together to improve the metal forming and fabricating industry. Founded in 1970, FMA brings metal fabricators and fabricating equipment manufacturers together through technology councils, educational programs, networking events, and the FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show including Metalform. FMA also has a technology affiliate, the Tube & Pipe Association, International (TPA), which focuses on the unique needs of companies engaged in tube and pipe producing and fabricating.
