FMA'S Toll Processing 2009 Conference



Rockford, Ill. Oct. 31, 2008 -- The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA), announces its upcoming Toll Processing 2009 Conference taking place March 4-6, 2009, at Disney's Contemporary Resort at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The theme of the 13th annual world-class conference is "The Power of 'E'." Sessions will focus on the issues of top priority to industry executives including Employees, Economics, Education, Energy, Environment, Equipment, and more. Engaging presentations geared toward owners and managers will address labor market concerns, economic perspectives, and advocacy initiatives. Speakers will cover updates on appliance markets, new technologies, and recent developments impacting the metals industry.

Keynote speaker Richard Judy, author of Workforce 2020, will explore the challenges of recruiting, educating, and retaining workers in today's changing manufacturing environment. A panel discussion coordinated by the Outside Processors Council (OPC) will feature representatives from mills and processors to share their experiences and strategies in developing a skilled workforce. Other featured speakers include Chris McCarthy (Severstal), Wayne Morris (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers), Robert Weidner (MSCI), Kurt Johnson (Alcoa), Fred Mazurski (USG Corp.), and conference favorite retired industry analyst Glenn Kidd.
