FPMR05SR75 10A non-isolated point of load converter is finalist in Power Category
San Jose, CA - February 21, 2008 - FDK America announced that for the second consecutive year it was named a finalist in CMP Technology's EE Times 2008 Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards for Ultimate Product of the Year in the Power Category. The selection was made for FDK's FPMR05SR75 Senpai Series non-isolated point of load (POL) dc/dc converter that operates from a 2.4 Volt - 5.5 Volt DC input bus and delivers up to 10 Amperes in the smallest industry-standard footprint.
The FPMR05SR75 converter provides up to 67% higher output current than other available POL converters in the same size and input voltage range. The power density of up to 475 Watts/cubic inch sets a new standard for power delivery in this footprint and range. FDK's Senpai Series dc/dc converters are designed for Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA) and Distributed Power Architecture (DPA) applications that require high efficiency, tight regulation, and high reliability in elevated temperature environments with low airflow.
"FDK is honored to be a finalist again for the EE Times ACE Awards," said Dr. Apurba Roy, executive advisor, FDK Corporation. "This product reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high performance, high quality, and cost effective dc/dc converter products to the marketplace."
