ETTERS, PA (January 13, 2009) - FCI, a leading developer of connectors and interconnect systems, announces a new, dedicated, high-speed connectors microsite with a core product selector to help simplify specification of the industry's most complete highspeed connectors and interconnect solutions.
"In today's economy, it is important to provide resources that enable customers to easily access specific product solutions," said Glenn Havener, global product marketing director, high-speed products. "We've developed the micro site to be a single dashboard for all FCI's high-speed products and we feel this tool will be of great value to our customers."
The newly designed microsite can be found at www.fci.com/highspeed. The micro site's core product selector tool simplifies access to product solutions and provides access to downloadable technical papers, test reports, 3D images, links for datasheets and brochures.
The high-speed micro site includes backplane, orthogonal, I/O and mezzanine connectors. Some of FCI's leading-edge products are featured on this micro site including ZipLine®, Airmax VS®, Meg-Array® and Gig-Array® connectors.
FCI has pioneered high-speed backplane connectors, first with the introduction of the Metral® HS product families, followed by the shieldless technology of Airmax VS® connectors and the recent introduction of the ZipLine® product family. FCI currently provides full signal integrity support as part of its latest collection of products. This allows customers to improve their time-to-market and product performance.
Over the last year, the company has developed several microsites to provide more personalized customer service to customers and design engineers. The newly designed microsite will include a New Developments section that will provide customers with the opportunity to review information about upcoming products.
