FCI Smartag goes a step further in the development of innovative RFID products for library applications. At PLA Minneapolis, FCI Smartag will present the newest members of its RFID Labels - X-range CD / DVD labels and book labels.

The X-range CD / DVD labels are suitable where tracking and identification CD / DVD is required. They have better read performance when placed on surface and proved to be more effective on anti-thief purposes. Utilizing a clear substrate minimizes the coverage of text and information on the CD / DVD itself.

RFID book labels include blank, printed labels with personalized library logo, and printed labels with barcode and pre-programming on the tag. The latter ones consistently minimize library processing. Transparent labels are suitable for magazines, periodical materials, children books, etc. The labels reduce blocking of reading contents to the minimal on applied surface.

Both label types are available in several sizes to suit various library requirements. T.S. Lian, General Manager of FCI Smartag, is very confident in the future of these innovative products: ''we strongly believe in the development of RFID labels in the library sector. Already a global leader in RFID, with more than 100 million parts in the market, FCI Smartag has recently reinforced its development capacity with a brand-new dedicated R&D center in Singapore'.
